It's just a sneaky way of doing it and still not a solution though as we cant completely remap it to a whole new key.Ī handful of us macro scripters desperately need these values for these two keys. Though I did create a script for automation playlist selection using the mouse wheel, which uses the Win key in the original PT command, I included the physical pressing of the Win key as the modifier along with the script to bypass the problem. There are a few other ways to 'trick' PT into receiving the codes from these two keys but it involves some deep registry mangling which I have yet tried and there is still no guarantee. This indicates that these two keys are probably being changed and remapped within PT itself for cross compatibility reasons on both platforms. Myself and guitardom even tried various methods including using a Mac keyboard on PC and we were confronted with the same problem.

Even using the the scan codes or virtual key code numbers from the keyboard wont bypass this unfortunately. Being a macro scripter myself, this was one my first barriers that prevented me from giving us some real useful scripts to improve and increase workflow in Pro Tools. ( incidntally i am quite new to pro tools and i got those keyboard shortcut sticker things for keyboard focus. The reason i am looking to do it this way will mean that i only really need to use my mouse and the shuttle pro and would not need to go near my keyboard to work.

I thought i could maybe configure a macro command to do this but have not had much joy.No response from pro tools so does not appear that its working. IE cntrl+win+alt, and then pressing the up arrow. I think the problem is that on these keyboard shortcut commands you are basically holding down the modifier keys.
